There was a time when this man smoked, ate and drank crap, did no exercise and was 45+lb overweight.
He couldn’t do a single chin up and his energy levels were way lower than he wanted.
Now he trains 3-4 days a week which is manageable for anyone, listens to his coaches and acts on their advice even, even if it contradicts what he believes (an open mind is crucial to success).
While everyone wants the result, they don’t always want the journey, yet anyone who succeeds in reaching their goals will tell you the journey is what benefitted them most, and the result was a very welcome extra.
Focus on the journey, don’t rush it, and be sure to enjoy it as much as possible.
As a super-busy business owner and father, Denis came to us looking to get back in shape and on track with a regular health and fitness program.
Due to the big demands on his time, Denis had let his health and fitness slip, the junk weight had started to creep on and he was struggling with poor energy levels each day.
His energy levels were also feeling the effects and this was starting to affect his productivity at work
“I work a lot of hours (Steve’s note: Denis runs his own business so the hours can get pretty crazy!) and am married with 3 kids.
I was tired all the time, didn’t feel great and was struggling to stay focused at work.
I’m in my 40’s and used to exercise on and off but never stuck with it.”
Denis came to us looking to make the necessary changes once and for all as he had tried before but was never able to stay on track. The first step was to get Denis in for his free consultation and assessment so we could get a clear understanding of his goals and starting point. This was crucial in getting Denis off on on the best possible start and also allowed us to set some realistic goals for Denis.
Based off this we eased Denis into his program and adjusted it as his fitness levels improved.
“So far I have lost 45+lb of fat (Steve’s note: Denis has now lost over 55lb of body fat) and over 10 inches off my body. I feel great, have lots more energy and I’m a lot more focused at work.
My general mobility has also improved and this is the first time in my life that I’ve been able to sustain an exercise program. Thats because I enjoy it now and can see the results”
Denis’s advice to anyone thinking of getting started is “give it a go for a few weeks. You’ll be surprised how little time it takes to start seeing
results, the guys are great, there’s always a good atmosphere and the direction and encouragement are fantastic.”
The biggest obstacle for most people is the mistaken belief that they are too busy to keep themselves fit and healthy, but Denis is a perfect example that it can be done, and that the rewards are worth it, and that gets s thumbs-up from Denis.
