2. Get your sleep back on track
Christmas parAes, late night chats and the urge to just stretch the days out a bit longer have no doubt eaten in your sleep Ame. Unfortunately sleep is criAcal for fat loss, concentraAon, daily energy, moAvaAon to exercise and much more. 7-8 hours sleep before 11pm is your goal
3. Avoid the false enthusiasm
The post-Christmas period is notorious for people geIng psyched up beyond belief in their efforts to start a new chapter with their health & fitness. 2-4 week aNer that is also notorious for seeing 99% of those people revert right back to where they started. Avoid this fake enthusiasm by realisAcally assessing your starAng point, expecAng challenges to arise and planning a common sense path toward your goal if you want to be in the 1% who succeed.
4. Don’t cut everything at once
One of our secrets for client success is incremental change. ANer Christmas people feel so guilty about overindulging that they try and change everything over night. The more you change the less likely you are to succeed. Limit yourself to 1 or 2 changes unAl they become your norm which should take between 1-3 weeks depending the change.
If you’re struggling to stay on track with your 2018 commitments, take a few steps back and focus on 1 or 2 of the above areas. You’ll feel less overwhelmed and are far more likely to achieve results that are sustainable in the long run.
