Looking for an excuse not to train?
I’ve went to the effort of thinking up all the top excuses you can use, not to train and avoid getting fit and healthy. Sure who whats that anyway?
So here we go hold on to your hats people……
1.I’m too Busy.
NO ONE is too busy, its all about being organised. We have loads of clients that have 1-5 kids, business owners or people that do 12 hour shift work but still they manage 2-3 hours in their week to train.
2. I’m too tired.
Try exercising after being up all night with young kids, having to get up for work and then exercise. We have plenty of clients that mange this. Of course there are exeptions but you can’t leave it stop you all the time. That’s simply doesn’t save you well.
3. I’m very busy with work.
We have clients that train at 7am before going to work and clients that at 7pm after a 12 hour day or clients that fit their training in at lunch time. Its all about using your time well.
We have clients that travel to Europe, America, South America, India etc. on a weekly basis. We even have a client who works in the Sahara Desert!
4. I can’t commit. Its not marriage (not yet anyway), its 2-3 times hours a week. How much tv do you watch? Find those 2-3 hours. You will if you want to.
5. I’m not physically able.
Bullshit!! We train clients that are between18-73, clients who are obese, clients that once struggled to put on their sock due to back pain and clients with tough medical conditions, no lies. They’re physically able.
6. I have an injury. Unless you are advised by a medical professional not to train, then there is always something you can do while avoiding aggravating the injury. A great coach will even contact your medical professional to work with them so that you get the best possible service.
7. I’m lazy.
Lazy is a mindset. You need to change the way you think, surround yourself by others that are motivated. We all have our lazy days but not everyday.
8 I want a social life.
Your social life is important but not to the point where it negatively affects your health. Partying too much is going to send you in a direction that will not make you a happy camper., And when it does you’ll have another excuse no to exercise.
We all need a strong social life to be happy but that doesn’t mean party, party, party every week. You need to understand this!
9. I’ll leave it go till tomorrow or next week.
The next thing you know you haven’t trained in weeks and are dreading how hard it is going to be getting back into it.
10. I have a fear of failure. You tried before and failed. Well try again and get a good coach this time around. Every one stumbles but those whose succeed with their health & fitness get back up and keep moving forward.
If i have left out any don’t be afraid to let me know.
We have all used these excuses before, but was it a valid excuse?
Probably NOT!!!
All joking aside, there will be exceptions i understand that, but that cant always be the way.
Life is full of obstacles, and if you what to achieve your health and fitness goals you will have to overcome obstacles along the way.
